It’s not the place it’s the person

Since arrining at the airport last Thursday morning I have been living in this safety thing. I have been threatened by absolutely nothing. No panic. No need to get away. I am
Just living, here in my safe place, being so so aware of being safe.

This has been my safe place my entire life. No perps ever came here. Mom was always on her best behavior around her in-laws.

I have always thought that I Havebedn sAfe whenhere. Or way up north at my grandma’s farm.

It hit me yesterday like a thunderclaps. It is not this place that makes me safe and happy. It is me, myself. Of course I am triggered in a positive way by the environment by being aroundydad and favorite awnt.

But it’s nothing outside of me that is allowing for all of this. No place no person. Just…me on the inside. And because of this awareness I now am able to carry it with me. Because it is mine. Only I can take this feeling of being so aware and so grateful.

Is this a beautiful place? Yes no doubt about it. But I have lost my shit here many many times.

It is not in some Other. It’s in me. Empowerment plus. Hoe cool

It’s great to be feeling good and leArn as opposed to pitting myself thru Hell to get there. Sheesh
