In this blogpost I will be collecting a series of Ten Clarifying Words. These are strings of ten words that send a strong message. All are presently of my own writing. Most have as subject my journey thru c-PTSD trauma and dissociation. Some word strings summarize a longer sentence uttered at me or by me or around me. Others summarize five-year discussions with various shrinks/therapists.
It is my attempt here to give quick snapshots of a healing nature. Or just to make you laugh. This list will be added to as I come up with new ones. Enjoy. If you’d like to be on the list, for now just leave a comment as to bow to ge ahold of you. Take care and be safe.
I will describe safety 1000 times if that’s what you need.
You’re dangerous. That’s because you cannot deal with non-threatening people
This is a collaboration. Not just you or just me
I am committed to this process with you. Yes, really
5…back…4 rest .. 3 sleep .. 2 sleeping ..one asleep
It’s not funny you know. Why do you always laugh?
Dissociated people have gains then emotional aftershocks, like time delay
Who are you? I’m nobody I do not matter. Why?
Jesus I am a mess. Yes I really get that.
I don’t know how to feel. That’s right, you dissociate.
You live in a body. You do know that, right?
So who is yelling at me? Nome of your business.
Some things can’t be forgiven. That’s right that’s your choice.
I feel a lack of connection. Yes, you’re not connected.
This is all so confusing. I know it will be.
You are very courageous. No, I just can’t shut up.
Your paintings are breathtaking. Painter is sharing her skills
There was a whole me. it’s so young, can’t walk
red thinks we hurt you. It’s my job to self-protect
Timebomb may go off. That is in your power.
You will start to feel when you’re ready for it
Who am I talking to? I really have no idea
I’m glad we can talk about this without self-injury
I feel way too much way too little. I know
I will sit with you as long as it takes
You so piss me off. I’m glad you told me.
You can rip my heart to shreds. But I won’t
Everyone’s not an abuser. I know you don’t believe that.
Love this painting. I know who are you?Don’t know.
You are being compassionate with yourself. That’s what it is?
Some of this will be brutal. No I’m not afraid.
I have no internal system. I know, we’ll find one.
You aren’t doing this alone I am with you now.
You can’t scare me off. I am committed to you.
EXCELLENT
Wolfpack40 I am more than my past, I am my future.

Yep, but credit my counsellor not me! One my favourite things she has ever said … ever said … although her exact words were ‘if you feel it you are entitled to express it in my room’.

If it’s your last hope, why not take a chance? (Said by T, about therapy, at a very dark place.)
You’ve always needed someone in your corner. Be that person.
